Delivery Service Technician

Job Location: Roanoke RapidsJob Type: Full-Time


·         Comply with all applicable company policies, procedures, and patient protocols.  Comply with all current government regulations and professional standards respecting patient care and accreditation.

·         Develop and maintain working knowledge of current HME products and services offered by Drugco Home Medical Equipment and all applicable governmental regulations.

·         Deliver home medical equipment and oxygen as required in accordance with industry standards and applicable governmental regulations.

·         Contact patients prior to delivery to confirm that they are home and available for the delivery and any needed instruction in order to improve efficiency and avoid unproductive stops.

·         Educate patients in proper use and care of respiratory and HME equipment in a home setting.

·         Complete written patient visit reports at setup and follow up visits as required. 

·         Assist in resolving patient equipment problems under emergency conditions.

·         Process all orders in a timely and accurate manner.

·         Document all information necessary to ensure reimbursement for all appropriate equipment, products and services.

·         Develop technical knowledge as appropriate of the HME and respiratory products and services.

·         Implement/comply with the quality improvement program to meet company and accreditation standards.

·         Maintain home oxygen systems through regularly scheduled visits to patients.

·         Deliver and setup required equipment in the patient’s residence.

·         Perform routine preventive maintenance and simple repairs on equipment as required in accordance with company policies.

·         Perform equipment cleaning and maintenance.

·         Have maintenance performed on the company van at scheduled intervals.  Maintain van to ensure annual safety inspection

·         Report equipment hazards and/or product incidents as required in accordance with company policies and procedures. 



·         Possess high school diploma

·         Must be at least 21 years of age

·         Must possess a valid NC driver’s license and have a good driving record

·         Possess good verbal and written communication skills

·         Must be able to pass a pre-hiring drug tests

·         Must be able to pass a background check
